Huckleberry Festival Sprint Triathlon
The Huckleberry Festival is excited to announce their First annual Sprint Triathlon. We are hosting our first triathlon in hopes to bring a new event to this area. We feel this event will be a great way to explore the Powder Valley. We will start with our open water swim at the Pilcher Creek Reservoir, then transition to your bike for a 11.7 mile ride through the beautiful valley, in which you will be starting out on a stretch of gravel road with a good down grade hill, back to our little country town of North Powder where you will then get ready for your 5k run. With all of it ending back in North Powder.
This is an event that will be for all levels of competitors. We want anyone who wants to be able to participate. We also are opening this for individuals as well as teams.
The proceeds from this event will go to North Powder Charter school to help fund new play equipment for the grade school.
Our event is going to be held On July 25, 2015. Time and Cost TBA.
Once you have finished with your triathlon you can stick around for some more of the festivities going on in town. There is the school breakfast, parade, venders, car show, kids games, and ending the evening with the North Powder Rural Fire Dept. BBQ dinner.
Please come join us for a fun new event. Mark your calendars For July 25th!
